The OOAL Quilting Varsity Jacket reinterprets the classic varsity jacket through Nanamica's philosophy of improving familiar garments with thoughtful material development. While the silhouette draws on traditional collegiate sportswear, its reversible construction and oversized proportions give it greater versatility, allowing it to move comfortably between everyday layering and outerwear.
The shell is constructed from nylon taffeta incorporating MURON®, a recycled nylon fibre made from discarded fishing nets recovered in Japan. Combined with false-twist yarns, the fabric develops a naturally puckered surface during the dyeing process, creating texture while improving wind resistance. Lightweight PRIMALOFT® Black Insulation provides warmth without unnecessary bulk, while the Sage Green colourway highlights the depth and character of the quilted surface.
Together, the recycled materials, technical insulation and classic varsity silhouette create outerwear that feels equally rooted in heritage and innovation. It reflects Nanamica's belief that timeless garments can evolve through considered material choices without losing their original character.
