Founded by Satoshi Saffen in Tokyo in 1999, Nonnative began with a single graphic T-shirt and has since evolved into a full menswear line. The brand is “independent, unaffiliated, neutral, not belonging to a particular country or culture”—a brand that is "not native." Nonnative blends Japanese craftsmanship with influences from classic Western styles, reinterpreting menswear staples through distinctive silhouettes, functional fabrics, and a focus on quality. Emphasizing versatility, the brand’s designs adapt to any environment, creating a loyal following by prioritizing thoughtful, enduring style over rapid expansion.
