Neandertal dark™ explores the quieter, more elemental side of the Neandertal fragrance collection. Created by artist Kentaro Yamada and perfumer Euan McCall, it reflects the brand's ongoing exploration of humanity's relationship with nature, memory and time. The fragrance encourages a slower, more reflective experience, unfolding gradually with wear.
The composition opens with vivid green and aromatic notes before gradually revealing greater depth. Resin, smoke, leather and woods emerge over time, creating an evolving landscape that shifts between brightness and shadow. Earthy accords remain balanced by fresh botanical elements, giving the fragrance a layered character that continues to develop throughout the day.
The sculptural glass bottle draws its form from prehistoric hand axes, expressing the same dialogue between archaeology, design and contemporary craftsmanship that defines the collection. Every element, from the fragrance itself to the vessel that contains it, reflects Neandertal's fascination with humanity's shared origins.

ABOUT THE BRAND
Artist and founder Kentaro Yamada created Neandertal perfume as a way to explore the analogies between the lingering echoes of our past and that of olfactory resonance. The results are contemporary, highly original, and experimental fragrance structures, free from conventional and traditional perfumery standards.

RETURNS
Online Returns
- Eligible items may be returned for exchange or store credit within 14 days of purchase.
- Returned products must be unused, unwashed, in “as new” condition with all original tags, labelling and packaging intact. Returns are accepted at the discretion of our staff.
- Socks, underwear and earrings may not be returned for hygiene reasons.
Sale Returns
- Final Sale items (items discounted at 30% or more) and sale items sold with additional promotional discount codes are not eligible for return or exchange unless faulty as determined by our warranties team.
- Sale items that are not on final sale can be returned for exchange or store credit within 14 days of purchase.
