Referencing the brown denim trousers believed to be the origin of CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) denim pants, the Lot.220 US Army M-35 Pants by T.T honours a utilitarian style that endured through the turbulence of the Great Depression and wartime America. Remarkably, the silhouette remained largely unchanged for nearly three decades — a testament to its practical, lasting design.

Historically, the brown tone is thought to have come from logwood dye, used as a substitute when indigo became scarce during World War I. Drawing from this context, each pair is garment-dyed by hand in Japan using natural dyes from Yakusugi cedar and traditional mud dyeing techniques. Yakusugi, an ancient cedar species now protected from logging, comes from trees often over 1,000 years old, lending the fabric a unique depth and character. As with all hand-dyeing processes, subtle variations in tone and texture make every piece one of a kind. Custom buttons further refine the design, created by removing the “US ARMY” lettering from vintage military hardware to produce a more understated, considered finish.

  • Inspired by early CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) work pants
  • Hand garment-dyed using Yakusugi cedar and mud dyeing techniques
  • One-of-a-kind colour and texture variations
  • Custom buttons adapted from vintage military hardware
  • Natural-dyed cotton denim
  • 100% Cotton
  • Calum is 180cm and is wearing a size 32
