The Lot.010 Us Military Hat by T.T is a reinterpretation of the M-38 Hat originally issued to the U.S. Army Air Corps between 1937 and 1941. Staying true to its utilitarian roots, the design is crafted from a satin cotton fabric with densely woven weft yarns, creating a smooth surface with subtle structure. A mercerisation treatment enhances the depth of colour and gives the fabric a refined, vivid finish.
The Raw indigo fabric is woven on an old-style power loom using uneven organic cotton yarns in the warp and American cotton nep yarns in the weft. The resulting texture carries subtle irregularities, with natural neps appearing throughout the fabric. These imperfections intentionally echo the less refined production techniques of the era, lending the hat an authentic vintage character.

ABOUT THE BRAND
T.T, a unisex brand based in New York and Kyoto, was founded by Taiga Takahashi, whose education fused Japanese culture with Western ideas. After graduating from Central Saint Martins in 2017, he launched his brand, centred on the concept of "resurrecting relics of the past to unearth artifacts of the future." Takahashi, an avid collector of vintage garments from the pre-mass production era, emphasises the historical value of craftsmanship. Through an archaeological lens, he reinterprets time-worn fabrics and sewing details, creating garments meant to endure for centuries, incorporating endangered traditional Japanese techniques and collaborating with skilled artisans.
