Lightweight Mac Coat Natural Black Wool Herringbone
The Lightweight Mac Coat adapts Aviva Jifei Xue’s full-length mac for warmer weather. Its generous cut, oversized collar and deep back vent preserve the presence of a traditional mac coat in a much lighter construction.
Made from yarn-dyed cotton shirting with a softly wrinkled finish, the fabric gives the long silhouette an easy drape and makes the coat comfortable as a light outer layer.
An unlined construction keeps the garment airy, with horn buttons providing a natural finish. The familiar mac shape and unexpected shirting cloth capture Aviva’s ability to reconsider established garments through material.

ABOUT THE BRAND
Aviva Jifei Xue, a New York-based designer, launched her eponymous label in 2020, drawing deeply from her upbringing between Japan and China. A graduate of Parsons’ fashion design program in 2017, where she specialized in menswear, Xue’s work blends heritage with materiality. Natural fibres—hemp, wool, linen, and silk—are central to her collections, often naturally dyed and adorned with ceramic buttons as a nod to tradition. Her designs emphasize craft and old-world production techniques, utilising antique fabrics and custom-made textiles sourced from generational mills in Japan, resulting in pieces that celebrate timeless craftsmanship.

RETURNS
Online Returns
- Eligible items may be returned for exchange or store credit within 14 days of purchase.
- Returned products must be unused, unwashed, in “as new” condition with all original tags, labelling and packaging intact. Returns are accepted at the discretion of our staff.
- Socks, underwear and earrings may not be returned for hygiene reasons.
Sale Returns
- Final Sale items (items discounted at 30% or more) and sale items sold with additional promotional discount codes are not eligible for return or exchange unless faulty as determined by our warranties team.
