The Farmer Coat takes its cues from traditional chore coats and field garments, reworked through Gathering's commitment to natural fibres and small-scale craftsmanship. Relaxed through the body with generous proportions, it is designed to layer comfortably while maintaining a quiet, uncomplicated silhouette that sits naturally within everyday wear.
This version is cut from Japanese stone-washed linen, selected for its dry handle, subtle texture and ability to soften with continued wear. The stone-washing process removes much of the fabric's initial stiffness, allowing the coat to drape more naturally while preserving the character of the linen. Inside, a black rose silk lining introduces an unexpected softness against the body, balancing the robust exterior with a refined finish.
Rather than relying on decorative detail, the Farmer Coat allows the cloth to define its character. Like much of Gathering's work, it is intended to develop alongside its wearer, becoming softer and more individual through years of use.

RETURNS
Online Returns
- Eligible items may be returned for exchange or store credit within 14 days of purchase.
- Returned products must be unused, unwashed, in “as new” condition with all original tags, labelling and packaging intact. Returns are accepted at the discretion of our staff.
- Socks, underwear and earrings may not be returned for hygiene reasons.
Sale Returns
- Final Sale items (items discounted at 30% or more) and sale items sold with additional promotional discount codes are not eligible for return or exchange unless faulty as determined by our warranties team.
