Epelde Overcoat Deep Black

The EPELDE Overcoat reflects Kiko Kostadinov's exploration of architectural form throughout the AW26 collection, Instruments of Order. Drawing on the structural language of Oscar Tuazon's sculptural installations, the oversized silhouette is shaped through a deep double-breasted front, square armhole construction and sculptural pleating at the back, creating volume through pattern cutting rather than excess. 

Crafted from Japanese brushed wool, the fabric has a dense, soft textured hand that gives the coat warmth and structure while maintaining a fluid drape. The Deep Black colourway enhances the brushed finish, allowing the sculptural construction to remain the defining feature. A tailored canvas interior, shoulder pads, concealed button closure, and contrasting V-shaped back panel reinforce the garment's considered construction.

Together, the silhouette and fabric create an overcoat with quiet presence. Architectural in construction yet effortless to wear, it balances traditional tailoring with contemporary form, resulting in an outer layer that feels both commanding and refined.
