Cocoon Pant Persimmon Back Denim
The Cocoon Pant gives Aviva Jifei Xue’s signature rounded trouser shape a firmer expression in persimmon-backed denim. Its generous seat and leg are shaped through a curved outer seam and darts placed towards the hem.
The cotton denim uses persimmon-dyed weft yarn, introducing warmth and tonal depth through the weave. A specialist wash gives the surface a softer, brushed appearance and takes some rigidity from the cloth.
The result balances denim’s structure with the generous volume of the Cocoon Pant. The fabric will continue to soften and record wear, giving the silhouette a more relaxed character over time.

ABOUT THE BRAND
Aviva Jifei Xue, a New York-based designer, launched her eponymous label in 2020, drawing deeply from her upbringing between Japan and China. A graduate of Parsons’ fashion design program in 2017, where she specialized in menswear, Xue’s work blends heritage with materiality. Natural fibres—hemp, wool, linen, and silk—are central to her collections, often naturally dyed and adorned with ceramic buttons as a nod to tradition. Her designs emphasize craft and old-world production techniques, utilising antique fabrics and custom-made textiles sourced from generational mills in Japan, resulting in pieces that celebrate timeless craftsmanship.

Online Returns
- Eligible items may be returned for exchange or store credit within 14 days of purchase.
- Returned products must be unused, unwashed, in “as new” condition with all original tags, labelling and packaging intact. Returns are accepted at the discretion of our staff.
- Socks, underwear and earrings may not be returned for hygiene reasons.
Sale Returns
- Final Sale items (items discounted at 30% or more) and sale items sold with additional promotional discount codes are not eligible for return or exchange unless faulty as determined by our warranties team.
