CN The Christopher Niquet Book

The new IDEA book is CN — The Christopher Niquet Book . An album of photographs of the Paris and New York fashion and stye icon. It is, in fact, an icon book, very much in the style of Japanese fan books we love so much at IDEA. Take someone with innate cool and make a beautiful book of nothing but pictures of them.

This book may have been an IDEA idea (Angela Hill writes the foreword) but the book is very much Christopher's own. You wouldn't take someone with such a peerless aesthetic and precise eye and not ask them to design the book.

The book is so simple. There is no text. It isn't necessary. The photographs, of which there are a great many, tell the story.

Photographers include Steven Meisel, Jack Pierson, David Armstrong, Ezra Petronio, Karl Lagerfeld, Ellen von Unwerth, Katja Rahlwes, Jean-Baptiste Mondino, Blommers and Schumm... And that's it: a picture book.

Originally founded as a Bookseller specialising in vintage publications to the fashion industry, London based IDEA have made a big impact on the fashion and photography publishing scene in what is an actual short time. Since publishing Gosha Rubchinskiy's zine in 2004, IDEA has published books with the likes of Willy Vanderperre, Vetements, Gucci, Terry Richardson, Palace Skateboards, Alasdair McLellan and Collier Schorr amongst others.

We aim for same day processing of all orders placed by 10am on business days.*

Orders placed after 10am weekdays, on weekends or public holidays will be processed the following business day.

* International orders with items from multiple locations will be consolidated before shipping adding 1-2 business days to processing time.

Online Returns

• Eligible items may be returned for exchange or store credit within 14 days of purchase.
• No refunds unless faulty.
• Returned products must be unused, unwashed, in “as new” condition with all original tags, labelling and packaging intact. Returns are accepted at the discretion of our staff.
• Socks, underwear and earrings may not be returned for hygiene reasons.

Sale Returns

• Items discounted by less than 40% can be returned for exchange or store credit within 14 days of purchase.
• Final Sale items (items discounted by 40% or more) and sale items sold with additional promotional discount codes are not eligible for return or exchange unless faulty. 

Return shipping

• Charges will be deducted from eventual store credit or invoiced before shipment of exchanged goods.
