Aria Lake Blue/Lemonade
The combination of speed, endurance, and off road adventures intrigues Karhu to this day. In the mid-1980s,
Karhu sponsored a Ford Escort driven by famous rally world champion Carlos Sainz Sr. who was the first non-Nordic driver to win the 1000 Lakes Rally in Finland. Nicknamed “El Matador,” Sainz held the World Rally Championship record for most career starts until it was broken by Finnish driver Jari-Matti Latvala. The racecar driven by Sainz at the famous Calafat Circuit inspires the “Rally” Pack concept.
The Aria 95 featured two technological innovations in running footwear: an internal carbon fibre fulcrum in the midsole for a smooth transition, and a mono tongue upper construction for added comfort. This iconic 90s Karhu model is an easy to wear and comfortable shoe and remains an integral part of the SS20 Karhu Legend collection.
